A leading provider of customer communication services is seeking a solutions consultant to lead the design and development of advanced customer communication solutions and support business growth by providing technical subject matter expertise to business development teams and clients in a variety of sectors.
The successful candidate will work alongside sales teams to understand the business needs of prospective and existing clients and collaborate internally with technical and operations teams to develop, document and deliver successful solutions.
As part of a professional services team you will also work with senior management to assist in the creation, management and continual development of the solutions strategy and technology roadmap for the business.
Principle Accountabilities
• Subject matter expert on the solution sets needed to meet client and market requirements
• Present / demonstrate technical solutions to prospective clients in support of the sales effort
• Maintain a thorough understanding of market requirements (technical) as they relate to the strategic direction of the business
• Develop pre-sales tools and services needed to advance prospect / client opportunities
• Conduct assessments of existing client customer communications arrangements and recommend improvements
• Ownership of the solution design aspects of services proposed to clients
• Deliver key internal and external facing technical documentation in pre-sales and post-sales landscapes
• Actively contribute to bid responses and general client proposals, develop solution design documents, answering technical questions,
• Liaise with the project management and development teams on customer projects to support delivery to time and budget; active input as required within change management processes
• Complete regular forecasts, management and financial reports for all project work in line with business objectives

Essential Skills/Experience
• Proven previous experience in a similar consultative role designing and delivering transactional outbound communication and document management solutions
• Excellent presentation skills with the ability to confidently and clear present technical solutions to non-technical audiences
• Strong technical capability to be able to detail technical requirements to development teams
• Ability to work independently in the achievement of assigned targets
• Strong organisational and planning skills
• Exceptional written and verbal communications - ability to outline complex propositions in layman’s terms
• Ability to work on multiple simultaneous projects to tight deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong interpersonal skills and the associated ability to interact with individuals at all levels across the organisation, its clients, partners and suppliers
• Sound experience of Microsoft Office tools - including Visio and Project

Desirable Skills / Experience
• Deep subject matter knowledge of GMC technologies
• Deep subject matter knowledge of Kofax technologies
• Familiarity with a range of other document composition and multichannel communication platforms
• Familiarity with a range of digital imaging, document management and automation technologies
• Understanding of print production workflows and postal tariffs
• Educated to degree level or equivalent and / or hold professional qualification e.g. ITIL, ISEB
• Experience working with enterprise implementations of ECM, EDRM and EDM technology
• Experience of delivering document solutions within the Health, Financial Services, Utility and / or Local Government markets
• Experienced in the scoping and transition of diverse data / document portfolios within a BPO environment
