This role to be based in Europe (Germany, Holland, France), requires someone comfortable with solution based selling of concepts and technological capabilities, rather than an off-the-shelf product. You will have a strong relationship with the automotive sector, working with automotive suppliers and ideally the automotive manufacturers themselves. You will have strong technical knowledge within the labels/labelling materials product category, or if not then a science led qualification like Chemistry or similar as you will need a technical mind to identify opportunities to solve client problems with their current labelling solution. You will also have first class relationship building skills as this is a customer facing role, with travelling throughout Europe and you will be strategically minded. The Business Development Manager is a key function in the team, working with a product development manager, in the marketing team to develop and execute the market strategy for the automotive segment. The strategy will be driven through the value chain addressing relevant functions to support the it. The strategy should allow introductions of innovations or niche products or displace competitive solutions by leveraging the value proposition. Will utilise consumer insights to ensure the platforms and ventures we pursue are meaningful and sustainable and functions well in a matrix organisation to provide direction to the management functions across the global regions.
